Volunteer for Bank on Education Weekend

Houston area organizations are working together to present “Houston Bank on Education” a partnership to provide free Tax Preparation help to families who qualify and assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to all students. Partners are working together to coordinate resources and activities to offer help for both in a single location during the weekend of February 11 – 12, 2012. 

Houston Bank on Education is a volunteer-driven event and we need individuals who can provide assistance filling out the FAFSA.  The U.S. Department of Education is coming to Houston to help train volunteers on how to assist families in applying for federal aid.  The training is open to anyone who would like to assist families in applying for federal college funding.

Training: Thursday, February 2nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Location:Houston Community College, 3100 Main St., Houston, TX 77002 (basement: BD11)                                                 

* Directions: Free parking in garage across the street at 3200 Main @ Elgin. Please park in visitor spaces only. Take the 3rd floor sky bridge from the parking garage to 3100 Main, HCC building. Take the elevators on the left side down to the basement.
